Family Support Group
The family support group meets fortnightly on Tuesday from 1.30pm to 3pm, and a pre-entry group called the NEST (Nurture, Encourage, Support & Trust) has recently been set up, also on a fortnightly basis: every other Tuesday from 1.30 – 2.30pm.
The groups consists of family and community members who are living with drug or alcohol use. The group are kept updated on training opportunities, new developments re; treatment options, respite and other needs that arise.
The NDS 2017-2025 acknowledges family members are entitled to services in their own right. The needs of the group are met by social activities, information, training, holistic therapies networking and the chance to learn new skills in a residential setting.
